The longevity of a Cast-In-Place Liner is a result of the technique and equipment used during the installation of the product. A great deal of concern should be taken into consideration as to how the Cast Liner is installed. For example, the wall thickness and how this thickness is maintained throughout the entire length of the chimney is very important.

Also, the constant flow rate of the mix as it is pumped into the chimney is important. If a constant flow rate is not maintained, voids and holes can be left behind in the new liner. The hydraulic pressure of the mix pushes against the chimney walls as the mix is pumped in. This alone can cause major problems, one of which is a blowout of a chimney wall.

With the proper installation techniques, equipment, and common sense this problem is virtually eliminated. The flue sizing is of major importance, if it is too small or too large, the appliance connected to it will not draft properly. The Cast Liner is a permanent fixture making it a permanent solution or problem.
